The Great Eight

The Path Of The Figured Eight has no direct overlord per say. No all powerful god dictating our every move, controlling each step we take or arranging our stars in an order fitting of his scheme. Our "lord" for lack of a better word is one of more simplistic functioning, for we do not worship the deity directly, but rather the symbol of the Figured Eight and the values that it holds within. However this symbol has manifested into the form of a deity; The Great Eight. It is on his path that we walk, and on her teachings that we learn. You may notice the change in Implied gender, his and her, and I assure you that this is intentional. For The Great Eight has no strict sex as it is not confined by the laws of human nature and a symbol has no need to tie itself to such constrictions.This is what makes him such a fitting deity of worship, for as she has no eye for specific physical traits and features, she knows no discrimination. The Great Eight openly welcomes everyone, and Everyone already follows The Great Eight to some degree, without even knowing it; Those of us who make a habit of skating or practicing simple arithmetic are testimony to this. Figure Eights are all around us, constantly trying to give us advice and council. It is our choice to figure them, and up to us if we follow them.
